Said with Novell and son Jake. “We are extremely grateful to Peter Paterno and Dave Kaplan/Surfdog for their persistence and vision in moving this film forward, and to Sony 3000 Pictures and Chernin Entertainment for believing in us and bringing it to the big screen We know Bradley’s talent and spirit will be part of this incredible journey.

Late-back Long Beach trio Sublime spawned an entire genre—fusing reggae grooves, punk grittiness, ska energy, back-porch folk introspection, and hip-hop swagger. “We are thrilled that Sublime’s very cool and important story will finally be told,” said manager Kaplan. “They were fearless and a pioneer in bringing together so many musical genres, cultures, and lifestyles during their short time as a band, and their music continues to influence musicians and artists today. Peter Paterno and I have been in the past. Six years spent looking for the right partners, and we’re pinching ourselves with this ‘dream team’ of Elizabeth Gabler and Marisa Paiva along with 3000 Pictures, Francis Lawrence, Chris Mundy and Chernin’ guys and can’t wait to see this movie. To see it being made.”
