Nyck de Vries ventured into motorsports at a very early age. While he was young, Nyck first started karting. Very soon, Nyck became a successful karting driver. So much so, that in 2010, he won the 2010 Karting World Championship. He also won the Karting World Championship in 2011.
Next, de Vries stepped up to single-seater racing in Formula Renault 2.0. He continued his winning ways, collecting championship wins in Formula Renault 2.0 Alps and Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in 2014. Further, in 2014, de Vries raced in the Formula Renault 3.5 series finishing in third place and taking a win in the final race.
Nyck then ventured into GP3 with ART Grand Prix in 2016. The Dutchman finished 2016 in the sixth position with two wins.
Furthermore, in 2017, de Vries advanced to Formula 2, driving for Rapax and then Racing Engineering. Nyck claimed his first victory in Monaco and finished his debut year in the seventh position.
In 2018, de Vries switched to Prema Racing. Nyck finished the 2019 season with three wins and ended the year in the fourth position.
For the 2019 F2 season, de Vries reunited with ART Grand Prix. Eventually, de Vries won the 2019 championship title with four wins and eight podiums.
