King Charles III, speaking to his nation and Commonwealth for the first time as sovereign of Britain, announced that his son William would have the title of Prince of Wales, a title he held before becoming king.
This title is traditionally borne by the heir to the throne.
As the wife of the Prince of Wales, Kate Middleton will now assume the title of Princess of Wales.

Charles, who became King of England after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, also mentioned his second son, Harry, expressing “love” for him and Meghan “as they continue to build their lives overseas.”

Britain’s longest-reigning Queen Elizabeth II, who served as her country’s beloved face and source of strength for seven decades, died on Thursday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96 years old.
The new king also touched on the “steadfast devotion to duty” of Queen Consort Camilla, on whom she “relys”.
Charles called Queen Elizabeth an “inspiration” and “example” for him.
He said his mother had promised to lead a life of service to the UK and Commonwealth on his 21st birthday.
“It was more than a promise,” admitted the new king. “It was a deeply personal commitment that defined his entire life. He made sacrifices for duty. His dedication, and devotion, never ceased to change and progress through sadness and loss.

King Charles III arrived at Buckingham Palace in huge crowds on Friday. He and Queen Consort Camilla returned to London the day after Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
He got out of the car to greet well-wishers and looked at some huge piles of wreaths left in honor of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Some chanted “Thank you Charles” and “Well done, Charlie!” Told. As he shook hands with the crowd.
