White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre suggested on “The View” Thursday that the Biden administration is attempting to “fix” an immigration system that was destroyed by former President Trump.

Republicans helped create chaos at the border.

Jean-Pierre told the hosts of “The View” that while the number of people entering the US from countries like Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela has risen recently, “We’ve seen a 121% increase from last year. So , we’re talking about places that have communist rule, and they’re trying to leave that communist regime and you’re seeing this issue in the western hemisphere… so we have a new kind of migration happening “

She claimed the Biden administration was handling the situation responsibly by working with countries in the troubled region, but Republican governors have been problematic.

“All our regional partners are dealing with this. We are talking with them, and we are in constant communication,” she said. “That’s why the stunt Republican governors are doing is so embarrassing.”

Republican governors, such as Florida’s Ron DeSantis, are sending migrants to areas popular with liberal politicians in an effort to push border chaos back into the political spotlight.

Jean-Pierre suggested the move was “so inhumane” because the Trump administration caused problems in the first place.

Jean-Pierre claimed, “It’s so inhuman because when we’re trying to fix a problem that was destroyed by the previous administration, an immigration system, they’re not coming up with solutions. ” “They are using children, they are using women and families as political stunts, as political tricks because they don’t want a solution at all.”

Jean-Pierre continued, “I want to ask Governor DeSantis, ‘Why? Why is it that you are doing this? Why is it that you are doing this to children? To families? Where is the solution? ‘”

Jean-Pierre is the latest of several Democratic leaders, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Representative Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., who have suggested that Republicans, particularly the Trump administration, are to blame for the current crisis at the border.

Harris suggested in a video released by Vice on Wednesday that the Biden administration is spending time and resources to “rebuild” the immigration system.
