As reported by KGO-TV, 27-year-old Karina Castro’s family has confirmed that a man beheaded her with a sword on the street outside their house in broad daylight on Thursday.
Police say the man who killed him is 33-year-old Jose Rafael Solano Landetta, the father of Castro’s 1-year-old daughter.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department, the attack took place at 11:50 a.m. Thursday at Laurel Street and Magnolia Avenue in San Carlos, about 25 miles south of San Francisco.
