Bryce Dallas Howard, with him Jurassic World: Dominion co-star Devanda Wise, sat down together Metro UK earlier this week to talk about the extended release of his film. The conversation took an unexpected turn when Howard admitted that his body was the main subject of discussion by an anonymous executioner.
Howard, who did all his own stunts in the third installment jurassic world The series was asked what she hoped her role meant for female representation in action films and she responded with:
SheKnows. Other Movies-TV Shows
“What’s allowed to happen in this third film, how do I say that? How do I say that? How do I say that? I’ve been told not to use my natural body in cinema,” Howard replied. “On the third film, it was really because there were so many women, it was something that Colin [Trevorrow, the director] Felt very strongly in terms of defending me as the conversation turned again, ‘We need to ask Bryce to lose weight.'”
Howard explained during interviews that most of her stunts would have been impossible if she dieted, and credits her director Trevorrow for rejecting such demands.

The actress also emphasized that the film has done a normal job of normalizing female-oriented action sequences that featured women of all kinds. There were also more women than men in the film, which Howard was particularly proud of.
“‘So I’m really thrilled [at] Whatever I got to do, and I had to do it with my body, it was at its maximum strength,” she said. “And I hope this is yet another indication of what’s possible.”
jurassic world The franchise has been an uphill battle for Howard from the start, when it was revealed that he was being paid less than his co-star Chris Pratt.
Reports surfaced in 2018 that she was making $8 million out of Pratt’s $10 million for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but Howard told Insider last month that she was being paid “so little.”
“The report was so interesting because I was paid so little, so little, compared to the report,” Howard said in the interview. “When I started talks for ‘Jurassic’, it was 2014 and it was a different world, and I was at a great loss. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three films and so your deals are settled. went.”
Howard continued, “What I would say is that Chris and I have discussed this, and whenever there is an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hasn’t been discussed before, like a sport or a ride. The occasion was, he literally said to me, ‘You guys don’t even have to do anything. I’m going to do all the talking. We’ll get paid the same and you don’t have to think about that, Bryce.'”
With the third installment filming and completion, Howard and her co-star Wise are delighted to see the final film featuring “perfect heroines.” “I’m interested in the future of action and how blockbusters really allow women to be complete human beings,” Wise said.
But despite the film’s female lead, Wise still insists that there is still a way for women to go in Hollywood when everyone wants to talk about what a woman looks like.
“It’s always something,” she said. “Kayla had a lot of resistance to muscle, what it means to be a woman, to look like a woman. It’s all over, it’s relentless and impossible.”
“There are so many of us! In fact, we are half the population,” Howard said. “And there were more women than men in this movie. These are the numbers and the scenario [that are] Still abnormal at this point, and just normalizing it.”
